Too long

Been a while as per but hey!!

Had a bit of a blank recently, I've wanted to update but haven't actually got round to it, as when the time comes to write I'm like meh cant be arsed with that.
This had me thinking.
I mean do people outside of the poker world actually read this ?
Do they understand how my life is ?
Do they wanna hear me bitch about having a bad day ?
Do they care if I win £10k in an hour ?

The answer to all these questions is simple NO!

So why do I write this blog ?
Is it to brag about my life ?
Is it to prove to myself that I'm good ?
Is it a way of promoting myself to others ?

Again the answer is simple NO!

The reason I write this blog is straight forward its a way of me recording what I've done, plan to do, or am doing.
I don't care if people read this and think wtf is this about or if people feel the need to pass on my link to others, I will simply write what ever I feel like writing.

I've been going through a pretty difficult time recently in terms of poker, things haven't been going as I had hoped. In terms of family, people around me seem to be of ill health and struggling.

I really want to make some changes to the people around me, to the people that mean the most, the people that are there regardless.

I know my mum is never gonna read this so I have no problem stating what I'm going to do for her.
My mum is getting married next year and being from a family without to much money I plan to surprise her by getting her a horse and cart to travel in on the day and also by arranging a reception without her knowing.

My mum is marrying the man she has been with for the last 20 years and due to ill health of both, they have decided that the time is now right to take that next step.
Truth is they've been together that long that he's already part of the family, my going through the formalities of a wedding, it makes if official.

Was gonna put something about poker but not really in the mood to update - I've had a good day and that's all that counts.

Been a weeee while since I posted and truth is I lost all motivation to play after having suck out after suck out and watching as my graph declines is pretty tilting - I think I ended last month as slight winner like around 4k total which was mainly down to the fact I won 14k in torunies....

So I took like a week or soo off, watched a few videos and silently cried about how shit I was playing and how bad I was running...

Having a break from poker and being able to chill out kinda puts what I do for a living into a different bracket - I mean I have a job where I play poker (something I love doing) I have no one to answer to in regards of a boss, I can wake when I want to, I can sleep when I want too, I mean its brilliant.
So why am I writing this?
Well...

Playing all the time you kinda lose prospective of life.
For e.g. The UK has experienced the hottest couple of days ever recorded for October and I have yet to see the sun as my sleeping pattern is so messed up, I've been waking at 4pm and then pissing around not really doing much and by the time I'm awake and feeling energetic its suddenly 7pm and dark I mean WTF....

I've decided on a new schedule that I wanna start sticking too, basically means that I grind from the hours of 7-12 (when I do play) I want to start getting fitter and wanna start hitting the gym a lot more so this week my goal is to sign up and go at least once - (yeah I know once is pretty poor but hey its a start).

I'm also going to find 2 football teams one in the North West of the UK and one in the South where I will be moving to live with my girlfriend in the not so distant future.
This all goes as part of my plan to get fit and to see more sun light lol...

So like I said today I played for the first time since my break and things went my way I ran ok and played good poker.
Booked a win of around 1k which is pretty good I guess, I did play 1 hand where I think I lost value - let me know what you think guys.

Think I made a mistake by shoving the turn as I get him to fold all his bluffs out :/ sigh .

Well its quite late here will try to post more regular and keep posting different hands too.

Good luck guys :)

A New Blog A New Month And Plenty Of Spew.

Hello and welcome - decided to start a blog again as my last one had decent reviews when I was writing on Coinflip, a lot has happened since then and the time has come to start sharing some of the highs and lows!!!

So a little about me - I'm currently one of the sponsored pros for Badbeat I play poker full time and have done for 5 years now, I play 6max cash 200nl + on Ipoker and also on microgaming.

I joined Badbeat around 3 months ago and unfortunately didn't get off to the best start I was spewing buyins away like it was monopoly money and didn't seem to be on the right side of any run good, after breaking my loss limit, looking at my hands and realising how bad I was playing, I was told to take a break for a while until some of the coaches had finished in Vegas and then we could re-evaluate where I was at. (sigh)
3 weeks passed and I was informed that I had received a new mentor called Peter - I obvs googled to get some background on him and found out hes a real good player, really solid and good win rate etc. (happy days). I had a skype call with Peter and he informed me that he had spoken to some of the big wigs at BB and assured them that my game was a winner and that I had defo been on the wrong side of some situations and that he had confidence in me winning again.

A month after I effectively broke even maybe even a slight profit under the guidance of my coach and started to get a real feel for the games, I still have the odd spew monkey moment which I'm trying to iron out but hey who doesn't???? :-) (Peter)

Month 2 started off real good I was winning even though I was running below EV by a huge margin and was playing a lot better my game had changed my spew was there but in a more calculated way and I was starting to enjoy poker again, I was waking up with a buzz and an urge to grind and improve.
Typical poker meant typical swings and mine came with about a week to go - I now started running out of flip tokens and my hands were just getting pipped here there and everywhere all of a sudden I'm now losing like 3k after being up nearly 5k WTF.... I did some sessions again reviewed some hands and spotted some easy mistakes and tried to rectify them. I had a 25th placed finish in the 500k even on microgaming which was extremely tilting I still picked up around $4k but I was 3rd in chips for so long and with 26 to go thought I had a real chance at the 120k euro for the winner :( anyhow I think I finished again with a slight profit of around 1k after a swingy month.

September has started ok - I'm running 14buyin below EV but I'm even at the moment having played a few k hands, I did have a nice score in the 10k on microgaming for 3k euros which sees me up around 4k overall so far this month - hoping to have a real positive month I know I'm playing well and just want my figures to reflect this - (fingers crossed).

I'm setting myself a target of 10k - 15k profit for this month and hoping to play around 60k hands again, I will do weekly updates and post hands graphs etc for people who want to, can follow, comment, criticise or compliment :-)

A little bit of  more about me away from poker, I'm in the process of buying a house with my girlfriend :-) Im a huge Blackburn Rovers fan, I've played semi-pro football in my earlier years (28 now) I love snowboarding and try to have as much banter in my life as possible - I'm a PS3 geek too and play ProEvo and COD for redic hours...

Enough of boring you lot I will update later in the week :-)
